Using the Alma Gauge, dentists can measure and record, on the removable plastic insert, the length and labial position of the anterior teeth as well as posterior tooth position on an existing denture. The insert is then sent with the case to the lab.
The technician can then place the plastic insert on their Alma Gauge and using the measurements provided by the dentist, verify the anterior and posterior tooth position of the Esthetic Control Base (bite rim) or set up they are creating.
This simple step saves time for the dentist because they are guaranteed an accurately positioned bite block or set up and the technician has the knowledge that the prosthesis they returned to the dentist is made to exact specifications, virtually eliminating resets upon try in.
