Nimbus 1 Ideal for large cases
The Nimbus 1 is the largest of our three porcelain application brushes, best suited for building larger more complex cases where moisture requirements are greater. The bigger body of the brush provides a large moisture reservoir that releases adequate amounts of moisture to a larger case while still maintaining a balanced particle dispersion in each individual unit.
Nimbus 2 Optimized for 3 to 5 unit cases
A slightly smaller brush with similar proportions, this brush is ideal for three to five unit cases depending on the speed and experience of the ceramist. The brush size has little to do with the volume of porcelain it can pick up, but more important is the way the brush releases moisture. This medium size brush can also be used for segmental layering of enamels on larger bridges where you want to keep the individual applications from blending.
Nimbus 3 For single to 3 unit bridges
The Nimbus 3 is the smallest application brush that has many uses. It is perfect for single units up to three unit bridges. It is also suited for application of opaceous dentine and most internal color applications. Some ceramists also use this brush for glaze application to larger cases.
Nimbus Opaque Perfect stiffness for applying paste opaque
The flat, broad surface of this brush combined with the perfect stiffness allows the opaquer to apply paste opaque faster and smoother contributing to more accurate thickness control.
Nimbus Primary Plane Designed for final pre-bake adjustments
Especially useful in shaping wet porcelain just before firing. Ceramists use the angled flat brush to efficiently remove excess porcelain from the buccal, lingual and occlusal surfaces while refining the heights of contour of cusps and cusp ridges.
Nimbus Color and Glaze For super fine precise stain application
This Nimbus is a super fine tipped brush - perfect for the finest stain applications. The most subtle crack lines and external modifications can easily be placed on anteriors and precision application of occlusal stains on posteriors is routine.
Nimbus Glaze Applies a perfectly uniform layer of glaze
The shorter stiffer tip on this brush naturally helps spread a thinner, more even layer of glaze on your restorations. You will find pooling on the occlusal to be a thing of the past. Some ceramists use this brush with a scrubbing motion on the surface to get the softest glaze effect possible.
